Richard Xinlai Sui (he/him) is an Associate at Jackson Lewis, P.C. Richard practices employment law and represents clients in a wide variety of industries such as hospitality, healthcare, financial services, energy, and media. In addition to litigation practice, Richard is also heavily involved in advice and counsel on employment law topics including multi-state compliance, leave and accommodation management, and termination. He also provides and helps prepare materials for anti-discrimination and diversity trainings.
Prior to law school, Richard attended Emory University as an international student. With a passion to bring students from diverse backgrounds together, Richard was actively engaged in the school’s international students’ programs and events, spearheading college-wide cultural events that promoted inclusion and diversity. He also co-founded a student club aiming to open the dialogues between two historically hostile ethnic groups. The experience at Emory shaped Richard’s perspective of diversity, equity, and inclusion, which were topics Richard had never encountered before moving to the States. The experience also propelled Richard to further engage in discussions of diversity, equity, and inclusion in law school and at work.
