Peter Young
CEO of Young & Partners
Mr. Young manages the Firm and under his leadership Young & Partners has established a leading position in the industry. Prior to 1996, Mr. Young was Global Head of Chemicals Investment Banking at Lehman Brothers and Schroders and head of the Chemical Group at Salomon Brothers. Earlier in his career while with Bain & Co., Mr. Young provided strategy consulting advice to major chemical and life science companies. He was also a senior member of J.H. Whitney & Co., the venture capital firm.
Mr. Young has assisted a wide variety of chemical and life science companies with regard to corporate strategy, financial advisory, mergers, acquisitions, restructurings and capital raising.
Mr. Young received an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School (Baker Scholar with Highest Distinction), an M.S. in Accounting from the New York University and a B.A. in Economics from Yale University. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Global Management Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Young is a board member of Société de Chimie Industrielle, the chemical and pharmaceutical industry association since 1990, a member of the Committee of 100, and is on the Editorial Advisory Board of Pharmaceutical Executive Magazine. He received the 2017 Science History Institute Richard Boyle Award given to a leader who has contributed to the growth and development of the chemical and molecular sciences communities.
