Hardy Zhou is a tax associate at Cooley LLP’s New York office. He advises clients on structuring and tax aspects of complex domestic and cross-border business transactions – including fund formation, venture capital and private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations and capital market transactions. He also maintains an active pro bono practice, advising nonprofit organizations.
Outside of work, Hardy founded a nonprofit organization called China Youth of Tomorrow (CYOT). CYOT was awarded the “Social Enterprise of the Year” recognition at the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai’s 2022 CSR Awards. The organization is dedicated to improving social mobility by assisting first-generation college students in China. He is currently serving as the Co-Chair of Asia Practice Committee of Asian American Bar Association of New York. He received his LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law.
