Grace Pyun
New York City Districting Commission
Grace Pyun is the founding attorney of GBP Law PLLC and a trusted legal advisor with extensive experience in regulatory compliance, litigation, and public service. Prior to launching her own law firm, Grace served as General Counsel for the New York City Districting Commission, where she provided legal guidance to a fifteen-member Commission on redrawing the city council election districts and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
Grace has extensive experience representing government clients in both public and private sectors. She practiced civil litigation at a women-owned litigation firm, d’Arcambal Ousley & Cuyler Burk LLP, where she served as national counsel for insurance companies and government clients, managing a portfolio of multi-state claim disputes and recovery actions. Grace also worked as a Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice Antitrust Division, where she conducted complex criminal investigations and prosecutions, as well as the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, advising on and drafting banking laws.
Grace was also most recently appointed as a Commissioner of the NYC Commission on Racial Equity, which was voted into the NYC Charter in 2022 to advance racial equity in government operations and to increase community voice in government decision making. She also served as AABANY’s representative to APA VOICE’s Redistricting Task Force.
Grace holds a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law and a Bachelor of Arts (Highest Honors) in History and English from the University of Toronto. She is admitted in New York and Illinois.
