Elizabeth Mo

Elizabeth Mo is a former prosecutor and now counsel at The Law Firm of Hugh H. Mo, P.C. (Mo Law). She represents individuals and corporations in white collar criminal investigations and trials, enforcement actions, complex civil litigation, and compliance oversight.

Elizabeth is an accomplished first-chair trial and appellate lawyer. She has a near undefeated trial and appellate record in state and federal court, many resulting in published decisions. Clients routinely seek her guidance on navigating grand jury investigations and to negotiate favorable non prosecution agreements with state and federal authorities.

She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, in the Trial and Investigation Divisions, including the Crime Strategies Unit and the Financial Frauds Bureau. She was also Legal Counsel at an NYC events and high-end catering company that offered domestic violence and human trafficking survivors with job training and employment. There she oversaw labor and employment, internal policies and investigations.

Elizabeth is currently a Co-Chair of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association’s Government Enforcement and Compliance Committee. She is also a member of the Asian American Bar Association of New York and the New York City Bar Association.

Elizabeth has a longstanding commitment to public service. Prior to law school, she was an U.S. Department of Justice Outstanding Scholars Program Paralegal Specialist in the Public Integrity Unit at the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York. While in law school, she served as a Legal Extern at the U.S. Department of Labor, New York Regional Solicitor’s Office.

Born in New York and raised in Queens, Elizabeth is a product of New York City public schools and graduated from Townsend Harris High School. She received her B.A. in International Relations, cum laude, from Mount Holyoke College. Elizabeth earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law with a concentration in Litigation and Dispute Resolution.

Elizabeth is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
