Alex Xiao

Alex Xiao is an associate in the New York office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher where he currently practices with the firm’s Business Restructuring and Reorganization Practice Group. Mr. Xiao has considerable experience representing ad hoc groups and other key stakeholders in some of the nation’s largest and most complex restructurings and liability management transactions. His practice focuses on debt exchanges, distressed investments, acquisitions and financings and other in‐court and out‐of-court transactions and arrangements.

Prior to joining Gibson Dunn, Mr. Xiao served as a policy fellow at the Office of the Majority Whip of the United States House of Representatives and was an associate in the Restructuring Department of an international law firm in New York. Mr. Xiao received his B.A. magna cum laude from Brandeis University and received his J.D. from Duke University School of Law.
